Resting & Sleeping Star

Songs to help you with resting & relaxing at bedtime routines. Everything we do automatically children need to learn the process from beginning to the end, allow time for them to achieve a new skill that will last them a life time Sing a little song, from day one explaining what going on, the more they hear the more they will understand & gain new life skills.

I spy Tired eyes

tWhen a child rubs their eyes this is the first sign they need a rest . Having a routine at bedtime or naptime is most important for children. If we do the same  things in the same order each time they will soon understand what is happening and make it easier for you all. Even when they can't comunicate back to you they will soon pick up on routines and understand so much. Music and songs are southing to children and can help to relax them before sleeping.

Rest time

Resting in the bedroom, livingroom or playroom is an important part of your child's day. So lets make it fun and sing along to your favourite song to help your child relax before resting. the more we say the more they will hear and its easier to repeat ourselves if we sing something rather than say something.

Story time

Story time is a wonderful time to bond with your child and start them on the sleep routine journey. Get them involved by choosing which story they would like to hear having other book for your child to look at and hold while you read can also be helpful I find as they learn to turn pages and explore while you read.

Allowing them to hear new words & ideas also ask questions about what you can see on the page gettting them to point to something  shows you they are understanding what you are say.

Press the switch

Children love to press buttons and like to do things for themselves. Allow time to discover how things work.Teaching the at every opportunity you can get a new life skill. There  is so much for them to learn and learning by demonstration and explanations is the best way to learn quickly.

Lights On & Off

Opportunity are all around us to gain new life skill & knowledge at the same time. Explain everything that you do children are learning at the quickest rate between the ages og 0-7 years and are like sponges taking in everything they see and hear so enrich their lives with all the things you do everyday and all the things you enjoy.

Time for bed

Bedtime songs can be a useful tool to help your child understand what you trying to communicate to them, keeping routine simple and constant during this time is so helpful. Music has a calming effect and we are using a different part of our brains. This is why we can remember song in a particular order unlike when we hear spoken words or read something we don't recall them back in the same order like we do with songs.

We close our eyes

Learning how to relax before sleep will help your child to understand all the processes to be able to settle down and to go to sleep. Teach children all the tings that their bodies are doing naturally will give them the knowledge of how to relax. Consentaring on Breathing Listening Relaxing Thinking and Resing will lead to Sleeping

Sweet dreams

Wish your child sweet dreams before they have that all important sleep with this little rhyme. Sing a song that don't take long and help your child hear more words throughout their day, as its easier to repeat something if we sing that say it.

Goodnight

Time to say goodnight to your child and to let them know you will be there when they wake up. Having back ground white noise the help settle your child works well for some children too.

Time to get up

After resting & sleeping it time to wake up and get on with the day.The more we sing the more words chidren will hear and help them to understand what is happening in their day.

Relaxing Before Sleeping

Relaxing Before Sleeping learning how to relaxing before we go to sleep is a very important life skill. If we teach children to stop moving, close their eyes, listen with their ears,  hush their noise, breath throught their noses, rest their minds, stop thinking and go to sleep they have all the information to learn how to relax and then go to sleep. I these sentences can be sung in any order and the key points that your child is struggling with you can repeat that particular line more often.
